quick question. (ok actually several)
how much cash does a character start with? is it just what ever's left over from character creation? how many "ignore the –10 modifier from 1 wound." effects stack? I have potentialy made a character who ignores all wounds. Is the 40 cap on atributes absolute or does it apply befor gear. ie; if I have SOM 30 +10 morph bonus, can I still benefit from two cyberarms, hardened skeleton and muscle aug? If not why not? what about MRDR does that have any effect on SOM if it's allready maxed? What happened to all the Russians? did any of them make it off the planet and do they have a clony somewhere or did they just get absorbed into the Titainians? Does Octomorph + Autophagy = just about the funnest character EVER? :D:D:D

i think they start with 5000 as long as they dont say dont stack (like grin does) it should stack as long as they are from different sources i think its a cap, but the extra would act as a buffer if you took SOM damage(but that more of a personal opinion that RAW) you still could use those mods if you wanted them again see above they got nuked first i would say yes

I thought that the cap was 30, not 40 (Improving Aptitudes, page 152), but it *does* stack with morph, mod, rez and drug bonuses (later in the same parargraph) Which is kind of weird, because all the skills cap at 99. Many common rolls in EP are Aptitude x3. If aptitudes raise above 33, that cap is essentially busted (although it could be argued that Aptitude rolls follow different format than skill rolls, but I think that they should essentially be the same) I there is a cap of 40 after including morph, mod, rez and drug bonuses, I haven't seen it. Also, the Aptitude range table on page 174, seems to support the view that 30 is the definite and absolute cap.

Re: quick question. (ok actually several)
-The hard cap is 40 for any morph (Page 124) -Your current cap is your current morph's aptitude maximum (even if it's lower than your ego's current aptitude) -Your ego's cap is 30 unless you have the Exceptional Aptitude trait. So yes, if you have an aptitude higher than a 33, you will go beyond 99, but you won't break the fact that you can't roll over a 99 with percentile dice (Or that a 99 is always a critical failure)

Ok, to sum You start the game with what ever cash you have left over after buying gear. So potentially you can start the game dead broke. Traits and gear that allow you to Ignore Wound Modifiers stack unless they specificly say that they don't stack wich means you can build a morph that Ignores all wound modifiers. the ablsoute cap on Atributes is 40. It is metaphysicaly imposible to have an atribute > 40. So a character with SOM 25, can buy a Fury morph SOM +10, and upgrade with Hardened Skeleton SOM +5, for a SOM 40 atribute. But for some reason further upgrades like Muscle Augmentation SOM +5, or a dose of MRDR SOM +10 have no effect. (I suppose I agree with this since SOM ≠ Strength, but I do think that drugs should apply above the hard cap.) I'm a little pissed that there are no russians. I do an excelent ruski accent :D In my game I'm gona have a house rule that Octomorphs with Autophagy have to eat their 'breeding arm' first :D :D :D :rollin

At least one made it because the Swarmanoid pre-made character speaks 'Native Russian'.

You are limited to ignoring a max of -30 in wound modifiers. See the 2nd paragraph under Wound Effects on page 207.

Thanks for that. I don't know how I've skiped over this so many times. That makes things much more reasonable.
