"non-commercial"??

So I've uploaded one of the 2 page spreads, and one other image, from the core rulebook to rpg.geekdo.com, on the premise that the CC license gaver permission for such.

I'm just a user of the site.

But since the site itself is a money-making proposition (they sell ads, but do allow accounts for free) does that mean the non-commercial part of the license is violated?

Could I upload ALL the 2 page spreads?

Thanks

Re: "non-commercial"??

for that mater, what happens if someone uploads material to a fee-based service like fileplanet? other users would drive revenue to FP if they buy subsriptions to download the CC material. does CGL then have to send a letter to FP asking them to remove the files?

Re: "non-commercial"??

Looking at the full legal text of the license, there is an explicit allowance for profitable file sharing sites. But that's as far as it goes. There appear to be some cases too of commercial sites like Wired.com etc using cc-noncommercial stuff and getting in trouble for it.

I'm tending to think I'm *not* on good ground here. So maybe I'm just asking permission (or its fair use, which is another matter)

Posting a few pics on a review site sounds like fair use to me.
