EP: Redout (online game, Fridays)
I've wanted to play Eclipse Phase since it came out, but the game I got into as a player only lasted a couple of sessions before it folded. Since that's left me without a game for the last couple of months, I've decided to start one. I have one person from a previous game who's interested, and I'm looking for up to 4 more players. The game would be run via IM/IRC (group preference) on Sundays from around 1930 - 2330 GMT+3 / 1130 - 1530 CST. Unfortunately I can't be very flexible on that timeslot, given my current work schedule. I'm leaning pretty heavily toward Mars for the setting, since it provides opportunities for everything from Old West-style games to system politics to gatecrashing. Specifics will depend on the interests of the players. If you're interested and available then, please post a character concept (can be pretty general at this point, but try to give me at least a few sentences), what type of game you're most interested in, and whether you'd prefer it to be a Firewall game or not. Cross-posting this to RPG.net as well.

Re: Online game, Sundays
Eclipse Phase: Redout "You know Solis Lacus, right? The Lake of the Sun, or as some call it, the Eye of Mars. Big region south of here -- about the size of Germany, if you know your old Earth geography better than ours. Lot of Mars' biggest dust storms started there -- like, most of the planet big. The storms have eased up since terraforming started, but it's looking like this new one is going to be a doozie. The kind of redout we haven't seen since colonization." "Batten down the hatches, right? Keep inside, wait it out. We've had storms before. Why should this one be any different? But the end-of-the-world nutjobs seem to think it is. Heard one batch claiming that the eye of Mars was opening, and its gaze would destroy us all. Another says its the TITANs kicking up a storm for cover, so they can come at us again while we're not watching them so closely." "There's been enough of that kind of talk that the people I work for have started getting edgy. And when they get edgy, well, that's where you come in. Y'see, we've lost contact with the Garang Research Station down in the southern part of the Eye. Might be nothing -- just comms problems from the storm. Might be we've had some nutjobs get a little carried away. Or maybe it really is the TITANs. Finding out is your job, and you don't have much time to ge there before travel goes completely to hell, so you better get moving..." * * * * * * Update: Current game time is Friday 10:30pm CST / Saturday 07:30am GMT+3 (not Sunday anymore) PCs are members of Firewall; Starting location is Noctis-Qianjiao There's still at least one slot open. http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=560195 -- recruitment thread on RPG.net; I'll also be monitoring this thread if you don't have/want an account there.

If the slot is still open I would join you, though I need some details (I admit to not knowing time zone conversion so I need the time in Mountain Standard time), what type of IM/IRC you are using, and the abilities of the rest of the players so that I can make my player accordingly.

The slot is still open at this point. You can check the RPG.net thread for info on what others are currently looking at playing (you don't need an account to view the post.) Timezone: Mountain is an hour behind Central, so the game would be at 9:30pm Friday night your time. IM: That's still up in the air at this point. The most common ones I've used for gaming are AIM and the magicstar IRC server, though.

Link does not work, says I need to login. Also tried to look for the post manually on RPG.net but could not find it, do you have any suggestions?

Bah. That's annoying. Thought that link would work. It's under: RPGnet Forums > RPGnet Roleplaying > Roleplay-by-Post > Recruitment and Meta Threads Thread title: [Interest / Recruitment] Eclipse Phase Shouldn't be very far down the list...there's been posting within the last several hours.
