Here is the log for the first session of the Eclipse Phase game I'm playing on IRC.

OOC session: http://pastebin.com/LjBYbyq6
I figured this was probably the best place to post it.

No comments? ;_;
Here is the second session. The standoff is resolved, our hacker arrives, and it turns out our pilot wasn't actually infected with the Exsurgent Virus, just his Muse. Then we get root out the computer infections, and go off to take out the railgun that started the whole mess, using the corpses of the gun's previous victims as decoys as we go. Then we have a run-in with the railgun's defense turret drones, and give the hacking rules a spin.
Also, in case anyone wasn't responding from confusion as to who they were, here are the Dramatis Personae.
I read it, I liked it, I was just wondering if they check that there aren't more partner "mine" systems alerted or markers attached to them. I imagine them marked as enemy threats, by other remnants.
It reminds me of a comic story I read -where A bloody war had ended & a squadron of soldiers now was tasked with the announcement of armistice & peace to combatants.
They encounter a well fortified sniper.

Nice to see someone doing something online. I'm planning on getting an online game going, partly supporting it with web pages and other stuff.
I'm not certain whether I should use IRC, or yahoo messenger, or something else at this point. We'd probably want a die roller as well. Right now, I'm firming up the campaign. I don't usually do "one off" adventures, I tend to plan the whole campaign out in advance. Do you like using IRC? I guess lots of people are familiar with it...
Good luck with the game, looks like it is going well so far.
"That which is not dead can eternal lie,
and with strange aeons even death may die..."
those weird particle they found in the first session...
would they be like the GN particles from a Gundam's GN Drive solar furnace?
that's what it reminded me of, actually
the beef jerky joke nearly made me fall off my chair from laughing so hard
(did you laugh so hard yourselves, guys?)
wonder wish is worse: void cooked beef jerky or raw fish finger with custard?
Remember The Cant!
Read the first one - awesome internal struggle! You gotta love it when PCs are opening fire at each other after a few hours of gaming ;)
"People think dreams aren't real just because they aren't made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes." - John Dee
Session 3! Now our intrepid Sentinels are egocasting to a Firewall base in the Asteroid Belt, where they were about to be briefed when some people who were probably Psi-Epsilon Exsurgents woke up in the morgue and broke out without a trace.
I can't wait to read the Session 4!
it's like reading the screenplay of a TV show in Eclipse Phase's universe!
by the way, would it be possible to send me the scenario? I'd love to GM it to my players, after they're done with Glory and Mind the WMD.
A little description of the characters would be welcome, by the way
so we can have a mental picture of them
anyway, keep the great work, folks!
Here's session 4!
In this session, our heroic Sentinels set off from the morgue to the office of the scientist they had contacted, in the hope that he would be able to give them something that'd help them track down the Exsurgents loose in the station. On their way, they're jumped by one of said Exsurgents, who gets wounded and teleports away. Aki tracks it down via cameras and the Exsurgent's blood trail, and it is promptly confronted and killed in the lab. It emits a psychic wail as it dies, which is returned by the other Exsurgents.
Realising that they might not need to hunt down the Exsurgents, the Sentinels hunker down and fortify the lab while waiting for the Exsurgents to arrive. When the do, one comes through the door, one comes in through the (mined) vents, and one teleports into the room, fries the psijammer, and then unleashes a psychic attack that sends two of the heroes mildly crazy. Then, after an Action Turn of combat, two of the Exsurgents are dead and the last one is retreating while being dissolved by a Protean Nanoswarm repurposed as a weapon. The session ends as the group leaves the lab and enters a medical station to treat the injuries the party has sustained.
The latest session. We hunted down one hiding in a supplies closet, and then went off to confront the last two in the bowels of the station. The session ended in the middle of the first round of combat, with noone having suffered anything more than light wounds.
argh! I can't access the file anymore, and I didn't download it!
Am I the only one in that case?
I can see it just fine.
No game this week, because only two of the players turned up for some reason.
what do we get, then?
A rerun of the series premiere? :p
Could you give us a run down of the characters' who's-who and what they look like? that'd give us a mental image of them
btw, I'd love to run the scenario you've played with the shuttle, and the current one in the lab.
would it be possible to have a copy of it?
Thanks in advance!
