Website Login and Forum Weirdness

Two strange things have been happening to me lately regarding logging in to view the forums. The first is that after logging in, the front page of the forums still shows me as not logged in. However, clicking on a forum topic and going to that forum's page shows me as logged in again. Going back to the front page of the forums once again shows me as not logged in and won't display new posts for me.

And today I tried to click on the Log In button in the upper right of the page and got a "Page Not Found" error. I was able to log in by trying to post and using the login link there.

Yup, the same thing happens to me sometimes. There seems to be a caching issue with the front page. Every so often it will forget I am logged in, and I have to clear my cache and forcereload the page for it to update.

Mash F5 for a bit, that sometimes fixes it for me.

Huh - ok - that is extremely odd. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can track it down. It might just be caching but our current caching configurations ought to be a lot more reasonable than that.

It's working fine for me now. Very odd. It was happening for a few days straight, but now it's all good.
