Considering some of the weirdness in Eclipse Phase, I wouldn't rule it out.
Although my main interest isn't with the inner system, I'll agree that it's a great story.

That's true, AdamJury, but the alcohol never gets near your vocal chords - which I believe is what Aleksander referred to.

It's a great story you've gave us! I assume Sunward will extend themes into politics, not only the Firewall-ish existential threats?
And there's one mistake:
'She swallowed the liquid, felt its burn spread over her vocal chords and down into her chest.'
Does she drink alcohol into her lungs?
