New Character Sheet - TreChriron

Available in the download section of my website (link in sig).
Wanted to spell things out and reduce the number of abbreviations hoping to make it less intimidating. 
Also includes a Tests & Defenses section to pre-calculate various tests with a "vs. Social" area for the opposed roll calculation versus social skills.
Let me know what you think! Any errors to correct or suggestions are welcome.
Now to work on the landscape GM screen...

I'm thinking about making an application with the Acces-like in Open Office, but i suck at it
the idea is to make a compendium. On this planet/moon/habitat, you have these factions, these hypercorps. each hypercorp listed with their industries, each faction with their memes
so you could do a search
you want a morph, this company make them, and they're on that planet, habitat, moon
you're going to Extropia? it's this type of habitat, these factions run the show
etc...

even formula in Excel give me trouble, that's saying a lot!
on the translation, do you need the reference table I made for the french english (unofficial) equivalences?

Form fill-able and French versions forthcoming! Yes, I WILL make a form fill-able version in French.

Form fill-able means the fields will be made so you can type into them. Using the Adobe Acrobat Pro to turn the sheet into a form. Personally, my handwriting is horrible, so I prefer to type.

Well, we tried this sheet out this last weekend and... we hate it.
The font is too small!! Hard to write on it. I am also worried about the ease of changing morphs and IDs. So, I am redesigning it. About 75% complete. It uses a landscape format and has places to swap out 3" x 5" cards for IDs and Morphs.
My hope is to hack up a data file for Hero Lab that will then export to this sheet. More research needed, but it's my goal. Hero Lab is sexy fast awesome character generation, so I am hoping it's not to hard to use the system designer in it.
Quincey, Did you get a change to discuss the skill name changes I proposed for the French sheet? Can I make a cheat sheet for the latest version and have you punch in the desired translations?

I've checked the unofficial translating crew's working LaTex file, and while there are the terms I've already sent you, I don't have a solid "approved" translation for the other terms
What I suggest is that you work on the the english version of a workable and playable character sheet, and leave the french for a bit later
on the 19th of this month, I'm heading South-West and across the Ocean to San Diego for the Comic Con
so while I'm told I'll have a computer at disposal while staying at my friends' place and my hardcover EP book with me, I won't be able to work on the translation for either the book or the sheet

New Version 2! - Available on my website in the downloads section!
A new three-page landscape format Eclipse Phase Character Sheet! Easier to read and easier to fill out! This character sheet is tailored for the Eclipse Phase experience. The first page should be printed on one page and contains two blank areas to place 3" x 5" cards; one for the current ID in use, and one for the current Morph in use. Pages two and three can be printed back to back, acting as a quick reference for skills and gear. Finally, supplemental pages contain cutouts for formatted 3" x 5" cards to use for various IDs, Morphs and Muses. As IDs and Morphs change, the player can update the summary section on the first page for quick reference of most rolls and combat information. The ID and Morph cards can be held on the first page with paper clips. The PDF contains layers so you can hide the background, "place-mat" lines, cutout lines, or the lines in the Gear section.

on the morph card, you write the bonus or the "finished product"?
btw, what's the size of the font you used?
the previous sheet's font size was WAY too small
did you use the sheet yet?

Quincey - I usually keep background on a word document write up. More room and more detail. I will look at where I could fit that however.
You should just list the bonus on the Morph card. Write the "baseline" Aptitudes in your Ego section. Then the top box is your current and derived numbers. When you switch out a card, just modify the reference section. Hopefully this will make switching stuff easier!
The v1 sheet used font size 8 or 9. We tried using it and it was HORRIBLE!! That's why I created version 2. I wanted it to be easier to read, easier to use, and make switching out IDs and Morphs easier.
We are play-testing v2 sheet today. More to follow. I will fix the ^%$ typo first.

UPDATED: v2 now includes a History / Background / Notes section (under where you place the 3x5 cards) and fixed the Clothes spelling (Thanks Colin!).

I agree that pre-mades are best for the first time (character creation in EP is not fast). The intro adventure with the 4 pre-gens is straight forward and there is less stuff on the sheet. Worth checking out. I printed out the templates from the book in color on card stock. Drew lots of of onlookers to the table!

I love your v2 character sheet. As a recommendation though, I would change the labels of the cards on the last page. I think they should say "AI Stat Card" rather than "Muse Stat Card". Every muse is an AI, but not every AI is a muse... and PCs may make use of AI that aren't muses. Hell, I'd imagine that the largest majority is going to only have one muse anyways.

Not really. You can use an infomorph like you would a muse and have it act as an assistant... but a muse is a specific type of AI.
Think of it like this: tutorial software can teach you something, but so can a teacher. That doesn't mean that a person who happens to be a teacher is also tutorial software.
