The Grand Tour: A Traveler's Guide to the Solar System has an overview of the solar system, including a lot of the asteroids and smaller bodies, all the moons, and all the planets, of course.

It has a lot of good art and photos to get an idea of what the planetscapes look like. It even has a chapter on extrasolar worlds.

This may give you a good idea for places to set a story or phenomena that occurs in the solar system.

That looks pretty cool. It behooves an EP GM to become a planetology ninja. There's so much bizarre stuff going on out there.

Example: One of my favorite phenomena out there are cryovolcanoes. The idea of something that acts more or less like a terrestrial volcano but does so at extreme sub-zero temperatures is fascinating. Sadly, rules for what happened if you fell into one got cut from the core book. Smile

I think that the safe answer to that is "nothing good." Smile

But..the rules ARE there: You come back from your most recent backup in a nice
"hospital" room!
