I was thinking that a web based chatroom/irc would be interresting to have, too
and the name is just there, ripe for picking:

I third that. A chat room would be great. Alas, with almost no technical expertise, I have no suggestions as to how you would implement one!

I'm not sure that I would use it, as I communicate much better when I have a chance to edit the inane shit that comes out of my mouth, but the idea is solid. The name Aether Jabber is also solid, and I'd definitely like to see it in action.

if we reeeeaaaalllly really want one,
and someone knows about that web-y, chatty, whatch-ma-whose-its
i might just have...ohhh... lets just say a domain and webspace to put it on
(used to have a site up, lost it all do to "i was an idiot and never updated my sql software", so the domain and space is sitting there pretty much unused)
