  • Eclipse Phase at Dexcon!

Eclipse Phase GM Paul has let us know that he will be running two Eclipse Phase games at this years' Dexcon in Morristown, NJ. So if you're in the area be sure to swing by and check it out!
He'll be running Ego Hunter both Friday at 9am and Saturday at 9am.

If you are running any Eclipse Phase games at a convention let us know and we'll do our best to spread the word!
  • Still Looking for Some Gencon GMs!

    in
Just a reminder that we still need GMs for Gen Con (August 4-7, Indianapolis, Indiana). This means that if you are going to Gen Con and would be interested in helping us out by running games please email Brian Cross, who’s coordinating our convention presence, at brian@posthumanstudios.com as soon as possible. For Gen Con we have already committed to running 20 games, a significant increase over last year, and all of them have already sold out. And Gen Con is really a place where we’d like to show off Eclipse Phase and provide an excellent experience for people who are new to the game.

GMs who sign up to help us out at Gen Con will be compensated by both Gen Con (see the official site for details) and Posthuman Studios will additionally compensate our GMs with either PS+ products or cash payment at a rate dependent upon the number of games run.

We are also still accepting play session write ups for our ongoing contest. We've already received some good entries but keep em coming!
  • GMs: Posthuman Studios Needs You (or your fork!)

Calling all Eclipse Phase players and supporters—we need your help!

If you have ever game mastered an Eclipse Phase game you may be able to help us out. We have three major events coming up where we’d like the help of our GMs.

    Gen Con
First we need GMs for Gen Con (August 4-7, Indianapolis, Indiana). This means that if you are going to Gen Con and would be interested in helping us out by running games please email Brian Cross, who’s coordinating our convention presence, at brian@posthumanstudios.com as soon as possible. For Gen Con we have already committed to running 20 games, a significant increase over last year. And Gen Con is really a place where we’d like to show off Eclipse Phase and provide an excellent experience for people who are new to the game.

GMs who sign up to help us out at Gen Con will be compensated by both Gen Con (see the official site for details) and Posthuman Studios willadditionally compensate our GMs with either PS+ products or cash payment at a rate dependent upon the number of games run.

    Actual Play Contest
Next we want to hear about your actual play of Eclipse Phase for our blog. To that end we will be running a contest. Send us your accounts of your campaigns and the major player characters in 2000 words or less. We will review all of the entries and post the top four entries on the website which will then be voted upon by you, the community. All entries must be submitted to info@posthumanstudios.com by midnight August 1, 2011. The winner will receive a fabulous prize (TBD!) and will also get their campaign and characters written in to an upcoming Eclipse Phase book.

    Other Conventions
Finally we want to know if you are running any of your own games at Origins, Gen Con, PAX or any other cons please let us know so that we can make an announcement here on the website and through our other venues. While we can only run a small number of games ourselves, we want to support other GMs running our games as well!

If you have any questions please contact Brian Cross at brian@posthumanstudios.com, via the site's message system, or leave comment in this blog post.
  • PAX Events

    in
We're ten days out from the start of PAX Prime in Seattle and I figured I'd drop a little info for those who are attending. We will be with Sandstorm at the following location:

Room Number: 212 (2nd floor by escalators)

    Address: Washington State Convention&Trade Center

          800 Convention Place

          Seattle, WA 98101

Floor plan can be found here

We will be selling EP Core, the GM Screen and Sunward and I'll have some of the stuff we had at Gencon including the Octomorph posters for sale and buttons to give away.

The room will be open from 10am until midnight Friday and Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
I'll be running games (or my GM helper monkey will) at the following times:
    Friday - 11 AM&4 PM
    Saturday - 11 AM&4 PM
    Sunday - 11 AM
(6 players per game; may take up to 8 players, the games should take about 4 hours)

If you want to reserve a spot post in this thread. I know that we're already starting to fill up some of the games.
Also if anyone wants to see any of the specific scenarios I haven't 100% decided which ones I'll be running so this is your last chance to make a request.

When not running games I'll also be answering any questions people have or demoing the game for people who don't want to sit down for a whole 4 hour session.

Any other questions shoot em at me here and I'll tackle them.

  • The ENnies are coming! The ENnies are coming!

In case you missed the news Eclipse Phase received 4 ENnie Award nominations. Needless to say, the team is honored times four. :)

  • Sunward off to Print

  • Brian's presentation from the IEET conference

As promised here are the slides for the talk I will shortly be giving for the IEET conference which you can, if you want, watch live here and which I believe they will be archiving
The talk is on how we (and you) can take some of the heavier ideas about H+ and spin them in a way that has broader appeal to people who may not be familiar with H+ ideas.
  • Updates and upcoming content

    in
We just created a topic in the forums regarding what kind of topics you'd like to see covered in an upcoming book.  Let us know your thoughts on it.

In other news we're trying to keep abreast of all the feedback we're getting and we're definitely trying to address as many questions and comments as possible.  Hopefully you'll see the results of these efforts in the upcoming weeks!  But keep the feedback coming.
