Any product updates?

Are there any chances that Sunward will be published in the first quarter? And will the PDF be released before the hardcover version, or at the same date?

I read that the GM screen will come bundled with an adventure.. will it be the same one that was a part of the quickstart ruleset, or a new adventure?

So is the Sunward book still up for the first quarter?

Will the pdf be released when the layout is finished or at the same time as the physical book?
Anyway, its not to far off anyway .

actually its quite simple - like all publishers these days they get their book printed where its the cheapest - usually somewere in asia - and they try to get the best bulk price witch meens packing as many book they can. you can notice that when a catalyst book gets released its not alone - sometimes a book is printed but they will wait until several books are ready to be shipped from the printer in asia to their wareouse to save on the boat shipping and cost.

they get better bulk price, they make more profit and they can make more books.

so last october you had books from almost every line comming at once - they were probably shipped in the same boat.

making a book of the quality Catalist does requires a lot more work than you may think and despite all that there will be mistake, misprint and stuff that slips through the cracks like books falling appart.

its the way it is because RPG is a low-profit buisness and you need to keep your budget very thight to stay afloat.

then you get the distributors who dont give a dam about RPG and customer because they dont deal with us, they deal with retailers who struggle to stay in buisness. They make shure everybody pays exept them - like forcing a retailer to buy 36 books before they take the order in consideration.

I got a lot of respect for compagny like Catalyst who still manage to go strong despite how bad the whole RPG buisness goes these days.

but rest assured that you will see alot of books right before Whatever CON - Gen-Con ect... whats the next big Con on the calendar?

With respect sir I concur with you in regards to Shadow Run, but Cthulhutech has had several finished books since late last year and the are very very late with some of their books, have a look at the CTech forums. I however was told the delay with cthulhutech applied more broadly then it apparently does. I was a concerned primalry due to the lack of release dates the cthulutech people could say and the fact they cant even say the reason for it, here is a link to that post http://cthulhutech.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2219, despite their statements saying everything was ok I was just a little concenred the other foot was going to drop (again NO evidence for this just me been a worry wart). I guess the reason I react like this is I was a big eden studios fan and there decline had basically started the same way (again im refering to cthulhutech here, as you pointed out Catalyst has "irons" in fire so to speak).

Sunward is currently just off to proofreading. It'll be a few weeks for the proofreading, and we're still waiting on some of the art. At this point, it seems likely that it will go to print in April. We don't have any hard street release dates yet, though, and we are unlikely to have them for a while.

There is a second printing currently at the printer, and it does include the errata (which you can find on the Resources page). The current version of the PDF also includes the errata.

Note that it's at an overseas printer, so there is still some time (over a month, quite possibly longer) before the second printing (or the GM Screen, also at the printer) will be available in stores.

Well, I guess we got an explanation tonight about recent delays of print versions. Hopefully it'll all get sorted out as cleanly as possible so CGL can get back to making (and printing) games.

One way or another, the EP second printing and GM Screen will still be coming out. Posthuman has no intention of letting EP stop. There may be some delays, but we're pushing to keep things moving as much as possible.

Yep! We were actually going over some of the final artwork earlier today, and proofread comments are rolling in.

Will Sunward be Creative Commons like the corebook is, or will you be doing something similar to what WotC did with d20 by releasing the core rules for open use while still keeping the expansions proprietary?

I just want to say I'm very much looking forward to Sunward. In a single release Eclipse Phase has become my favorite new (and even new favorite!) RPG, even surpassing SR4 (and that's saying a bunch.) I have about three groups of people chomping at the bit for me to GM sessions for them, and when the 2nd printing of EP gets to my FLGS I will buy it and give my old 1st printing to my brother-in-law.

In summary, Sunward can't come out fast enough. Keep up the good work.

Actually we just received some good news today in terms of finalizing a deal with Catalyst over the core book reprints and GM Packs, so we will be moving ahead soon to sticker them and get them into distribution. Once we have concrete street dates, we'll post them on the blog.

Learning is always good, as are porches/decks! Wish it was more rainy here. Where are located Adam?

Any news on Sunward and Gatecrashing? They're supposed to be Q1 and Q2 products, respectively, but we're well into June now, so Q2 will soon be over.
